Discussions have been going on for years about the purpose of the land plot in Obolon, where Kyiv business people plan to build, while residents are against it.

A new home in Obolon

A multi-story building is planned to be built on Avtozavodska Street. The plot of land is controversial, as the Kyiv City Council recently approved its intended use. The land was handed over to a local businessman of Greek origin, Pantelis Bumbouras, who plans to invest in the reconstruction of the surrounding buildings, converting them into residential apartments. Therefore, in the coming years, Obolon should expect a new high-rise building for occupancy and expansion of the real estate market.

Resentment of residents

The fact that the development is planned to be located close to the Tuberculosis Dispensary No. 1, which is prohibited by law, and the standards of sanitary protection zones for such facilities caused discontent among Kyiv residents. This did not stop the Kyiv City Council, which decided to transfer the land plot to a new developer. Dorado LLC is the name of the new developer, which will soon start bringing in equipment for preparatory work. Kyiv journalists are watching the developments, but unfortunately, they are unable to influence them.

Новий дім на Оболоні

Багатоповерхівку планують будувати на вулиці Автозаводській. Ділянка землі є спірною, оскільки не так давно Київрада вирішила погодити її цільове призначення. Землю передали місцевому бізнесмену грецького походження Пантелісу Бумбурасу, який планує вкласти гроші також і в реконструкцію навколишніх забудов, перелаштувавши їх під житлові квартири. Тому на Оболоні найближчими роками варто очікувати нову багатоповерхівку під заселення та розширення ринку нерухомості.

Обурення місцевих мешканців

Невдоволення киян викликав той факт, що забудову планують розташувати впритул до туберкульозного диспансеру №1, що заборонено законодавством та нормами санітарно-захисних зон для подібних об’єктів. Це не зупинило Київраду, де таки ухвалили рішення про передачу земельної ділянки новому забудовнику. ТОВ “Дорадо” – таку назву має нова фірма-забудовник, яка незабаром почне завозити техніку для підготовчих робіт. Столичні журналісти спостерігають за розвитком подій, проте, вплинути на них, нажаль, немає змоги.
